Swami Isa's 61st Jayanthi Celebrated ( 2015-10-23 )

The Isalayam Ashram and Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust held the 61st Jayanthi Celebrations of His Holiness Jagad Guru Swami Isa on October 23, 2015 in Trivandrum.

Dr. Kiran Vyas, Former UNESCO consultant and Founder of the Tapovan Centres, an open university and Ayurveda care centre in France and Switzerland, inaugurated the function.  Dr. Vyas is associated with the activities of His Holiness in the capacity of Chairman of the Global Energy Parliament-French Centre.

In his inaugural address, Dr. Vyas spoke about the important contribution of traditional Indian education to the world, and the dangers being faced by society if changes are not made in education.  In places like France where he has lived for several decades, people have material wealth but are not aware about the aim of life, he said.  Only rare living Mahatmas like Swamiji are providing this knowledge.  "We are very fortunate to be living at the same time as Swamiji," Dr. Vyas said.

Dr. Vyas released the 2nd edition of Swami Isa’s book, “Education for Total Consciousness,” published by Priyadarshini Publications. Shri. K.P. Mohanan, CEO of Jai Hind TV, received the first copy.

In his Keynote Address, Mr. Mohanan addressed Swamiji with the name "Maha Spandana Maharishi," (loosely translated as 'Supreme Rishi of Great Vibration') and extolled the virtues of Swamiji's "I theory" concept and his contribution to the world through the Global Energy Parliament and the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust.

Shri. Kadakampally Surendran, Secretary of CPI(M), Trivandrum District, gave the Special Address, and told stories about his schooldays with Swamiji in Trivandrum.  He also distributed kits to the disadvantaged on behalf of the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust, in honour of Swami Isa's birthday.

Smt. B. Sreemathi, Swamiji's former school teacher, was honoured by the Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust as the eldest devotee of Swamiji.  Pankajakshi Amma, another elder devotee of Swamiji, read out a poem about Swami.

Justice Sreedevi, Former Chief Justice and Former Chairperson of the Kerala Women’s Commission, presided over the function. Dr. M.R. Thampan, Director of the Kerala Bhasha Institute, gave the Welcome Address. Smt. Krishna Veni, Shri. K. Sugunan and Dr. Sujakshi Haridas also spoke.
