The Isa Viswa Prajnana Trust was able to provide food to the needy in honour of Jagadguru Swami Isa's 67th Jayanthi. "Food is the first service," teaches Swamiji. "There is no distinction between people when it comes to hunger. And it is only with food that man says, 'Enough.' Before cloth, before medicine, we must fill the stomach."

IVPT provided hundreds of meals at a mental health facility and two orphanages in Trivandrum. Meals were handed out on the roadside to people in need in the center of the city, with the help of a social service organization. 

Having learnt the night before about the needs of slum dwellers and disadvantaged communities who were without food, water and electricity in Chennai due to the floods, Swamiji arranged to have food delivered.
